Periodic report to the board under article 5 of the Director’s rules  (in Dutch) dated 25/10/2005 for the six months’ period to 30th June, 2012.

This is the thirteenth on the activities of  Stichting Bakens Verzet (NGO “Another Way”). The report describes the activities of the Association from 1/1/2012 to 30/06/2012.

New work on integrated development included a new section of the course for the Diploma in Integrated Development  on how integrated development projects automatically meet most climate adaptation requirements as provided in Annex III to the document Identification and implementation of medium- and long-term adaptation activities in least-developed countries (Technical Paper FCCC/TP/2011/7 for Item 6(b) of the Provisional Agenda for the Thirty-fifth Session, Durban 28 November—3 December 2011 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Subsidiary Body for Implementation, Geneva, 16 November, 2011).

The Powerpoint Presentation of Integrated Development projects was extended to cover regional and national planning.

Powerpoint ® and text submissions were prepared for workshops for the presentation of proposals for regional and/or national integrated development plans in Nigeria and the Ivory Coast.

Proposals were made for the transfer of advanced pumping technologies to Brazil.

New resources were constantly added to the list of references accompanying the Diploma in Integrated Development and citations inserted in the related course texts.

Work on monetary reform included assistance given to the editing of the following papers by L.F.Manning :

Money, capital and liquidity.

Using a foreign transactions surcharge (FTS) to manage the exchange rate

Detailed submissions on the Proposed Bank of England  (Currency) Bill, promoted by Positive Money in London.

A paper on the  Missing links between growth, saving, deposits and GDP.

In February 2012, an article on monetary reform was published in the Belgian online newspaper  “De Wereld Morgen.”

The homepage of website www.integrateddevelopment.org  was visited more than 10000 times a month ( about 350 times a day), with an average of about 2000 hits a day. Average monthly website traffic was  about 10 gigabyte.

During the first six months of 2012, the Director worked free of charge in the interests of the Association.

The Association received a small BTW tax return for  the year 2011 (€ 107). Costs incurred for formalities and computer maintenance amounted to about € 275.

The Association made no commercial sales.

The balance on bank account 78.13.27.598 with the Triodos Bank in Zeist as at 30/06/2012 was Euro 151,74.

The potential value of  the Association lies in the (non commercial) immaterial value of the Model for Integrated Development Projects and in the Association’s e-learning course for the Diploma in Integrated Development. The Association may act as consultant for the execution of integrated development projects in developing countries subject to payment of a modest per diem fee covering accommodation and keep. Tutor-led courses for the Diploma in Integrated Development will be charged for on a tutor-cost recovery only basis. As at 30/06/2012 none of the proposed integrated development projects had been financed.
