During the analysis of the Millennium
goals in the second block
of the course it was observed that the term «quality of life »
appears only once in the Plan for the
Implementation of the Millennium goals declared in
Johannesburg.
Review the

the basis of a good quality of life.
1. Opinion.
On one page
make a comparison between the support provided to the private banking sector
during the 2008-2009 financial crisis and the goal to reduce poverty expressed
in the Millennium Development Goals.
An analysis was
made in Section 8: Millennium Goals
of the fifth block How block 4 structures solve specific problems on
progress made in achieving the Millennium Goals The analysis was based on the United Nations report for 2009
on the Millennium Development Goals for 2009.
Read your report on section 8 of the fifth block.
2. Opinion.
Write a
one-page article for a local newspaper setting out the risk of gaps between the
Millennium goals, progress made towards their achievement, and the quality of
life in the people in your chosen area.
3. Opinion.
In part the first steps of
section 1 method of the sixth block on the Model an analysis was made of the
problems brought up by local populations concerning the five basic conditions
for the execution of integrated development projects. One of the conditions was
the willingness of the populations to make monthly payments into the
Cooperative Local Development Fund. On one page, taking the three-tiered social security structures described in section 2 the social structures of block 4 the structures
to be created into account,
make a «reasoned »
calculation of the monthly contributions the populations in your chosen area would be able
to pay.
4. Opinion.
On one page
make a short commentary on the present impact of the Millennium goals and their
execution on the quality of life of the populations in your chosen project area.
