SOME OF MY ACTIVITIES

My name is Victor Onadja .

I am 33 years old and love playing football and billiards. I also like jogging.

I  was born in Garango, in the east of Burkina Faso and am a citizen of that country.

My chosen place of residence is Niamey in Niger, where I have been a project manager  for two years. The job is interesting because it enables me to get in contact with people all over the world.

Since my NGO, Naabi-Aba, is active helping people in the Makalondi area, I am often in  Makalondi. However, our ambition as Naabi-Aba is to widen our horizons and assist more  people in Niger, and those in other African countries too.

Naabi-aba has prepared an innovative project for the Makalondi area with its Dutch NGO partner Stitching Bakens Verzet , which means “Another Way”. This project is called “Vivons Makalondi”. It is my job to coordinate it.

In addition to that, I have been involved with marketing work in Burkina Faso, first as marketing manager of Sotrel, then with a group called “In contact”.

I am now following a master II level AIGEME course with the UNIVERSITY of SORBONNE, PARIS III to extend my knowledge of computers, e-learning , LMS management and technology,  and to reinforce my use of languages. The practical work for my thesis will be done with the NGO Stitching Bakens Verzet, which is based in Amsterdam. This involves the preparation of an e-learning course on the principles of integrated development developed by Mr Terrence Manning, the Director of Bakens Verzet. His work forms an important contribution to providing a good quality of life for the world’s poor, especially the poor in West Africa.

The University term finishes end March 2009. However, in view of the immense amount of work involved, the practical work with Bakens Verzet will go on until the end of June.

My mother tongue is Gourmantché (a West African people). I also speak French fluently, and some English. My English needs improving. The only place I have been able to practice it was during an enjoyable, but all too short, stay in Ghana. That trips needs to be repeated !

The Bakens Verzet homepage is www.flowman.nl . The homepage is in English and French, with some items in Dutch.
