Shelter.

 

Shelters provided for in integrated local development projects under the Model are permanent.

 

Permanent shelter still brings with it today, as it has always done, some risks.

 

1. Research.

 

On one page, make a list of the risks and their possible consequences on the inhabitants.

 

Here are some examples (in alphabetical order) :

 

Close contacts between the family and other community members. (Spreading of disease).

External drainage.

Fleas and lice (factors sometimes considered important in human development, including «nudity » )

Flies.

Food storage.

Humidity.

Hygiene in the home.

Mites.

Mosquitoes.

Personal hygiene.

Protection of water sources against pollution.

Vermin.

2. Opinion.
